Ooooooh, I didn't know about this. I haven't seen most of Carax's filmography, but I dug the shit out of Holy Motors. I'm in.

"Heroin". Still makes me cry sometimes, and I don't really know why.

Where hearts were entertained in June…

I always thought Dr. Parnassus was underrated. It mixes the bizarre spectacle of his bigger movies with the seriousness of his smaller movies really well.

Wow, not much love for my favorite, The Fisher King. Weird.

What's your favorite Terry Gilliam movie?

I enjoyed it. It's very, very Brazilish. And the ending is obscure and impenetrable even for a Gilliam film. But Christoph Waltz is great in it, and as an update on Gilliam's visual style, it's certainly closer to his older movies than, say, Imaginarium, which I do love, but is a different beast visually from those

Let the record show that I have kept my Lent resolution at least a bit longer than Ege Bamyasi. And waffles are really hard to resist, dammit!

Of course they do. It's their biggest tool for delegitimizing their enemies. The next time it happens, they'll blame the court system for throwing out the travel ban. Islamaphobia is one of the core pillars of the administration; they're crossing their fingers for another attack soon.

I've always felt that most of the horrible shit W's administration did wasn't directly his fault. He's no evil mastermind, and I don't think he's an idiot either, he was just uniquely unsuited for the job of president. He had a very real sense of idealism and genuinely wanted to do the best he could by the country he

Holy FUCKING shit the Star vs. the Forces of Evil season finale was incredible.

Last night I rewatched "Bismuth" with my dad, and I realized that that episode gets more dramatic milage out of the dilemna of killing bad people in five minutes than season two of Daredevil did in nine hours.

Ooooooh, that looks really cool. It took me a while to figure out that was a recommendation; I thought that I misspelled the word "Planets" somewhere in my ramble and you were making fun of me for it. That's going on the list for sure.

Honestly, nothing. I have never heard an album by an artist I love that I disliked to the point that I lost all interest in the artist, or ceased to follow their career. I don't know what it would take; that impulse is a bit foreign to me. I never want to be the dude who missed one of the greatest albums of all time

Hmm, I am equally cool with abstract narratives and slow starts; I'll have to consider. And I still have Champloo to finish.

Obviously that's the worst-case scenerio; I'm just saying that if we come out of this standing, it might result in right-wing philosophies being given a bit less mainstream credence, which is good for everyone.

You know, I always felt that the increasingly ridiculous and horrible individuals who made up the current American Republican party were particularly harmful because their antics dragged the conversation away from what an—at best—unhelpful and—at worst—dangerous ideology conservatism is. We were always so busy saying

Epcot: Soarin'. Which, as I missed the last time I visited, is hosted by Patrick Warburton, one of my favorite people.
Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest.
Hollywood Studios: Tower of Terror.
Magic Kingdom: Hard to choose. At my first visit, I didn't ride Big Thunder Mountain, which is a surprisingly great roller

Alright, Paranoia Agent. All the spoilers
