Well, all I can say is that I hope the title of this episode doesn't double as foreshadowing for where they're going with Peridot's arc.

The crowd in the comments sections for the reviews on here are pretty alright, even if hijacking those Adventure Time reviews was pretty obnoxious. Just leave the comments on "Best" instead of "Newest" and you should be fine.
I've been actively avoiding the fanbase just so I can keep watching the show. Which blows, because the show itself is fantastic; in fact, I would argue it might be one of the definitive examples of that elusive genre Science Fantasy, something which I can never find enough of. But anywhere besides here, the…
I don't quite see the point of cutting a shot or two out of that "What Can I Do" scene—the edited version still oozes sex. It's like cutting one swearword out of a Tarantino movie and calling it PG-13. Even going by the wrongheaded agenda, nothing was accomplished there.
What about Furiosa? She's disabled, and she eventually uses her disability to defeat her greatest foe. And plus, the post-apocalypse would be pretty historically significant in retrospect, right?
I think it might have a chance, if only because it's such an obvious accomplishment. Anyone who knows anything about filmmaking can see plain as day the insane amount of effort that went into crafting that movie. The blood and sweat that went into shooting the damn thing at all, never mind the technical brilliance of…
Has the AV Club comments section ever been as unanimous in its appraisal of a film as it has been with Fury Road? Or anything else, for that matter? I mean, I can't find a single person here who doesn't recognize it as one of the greatest action movies ever made. That's pretty amazing, considering how both divided and…
It's funny; the first time I heard it (The song), I liked it, but wasn't blown away. But after revisiting it a lot, it's kind of amazing. It just keeps adding new elements, it has such an odd but somehow perfectly fitting structure, and Patrick Stickles' sense of melodic phrasing has never been better. It reminds me…
Downvoted for a book title with two colons.
Come On, Siobhan is an astonishingly perfect song.
Mere moments ago, upon seeing its mention in a list of animated films being released this year and not having heard of it, I watched a trailer for Kubo and the Two Strings. I got exited as soon as the Laika logo popped up, and the trailer only got more awesome from there. It looks like a really badass, beautiful…
This is actually kind of genius. Dealing with the shame of laughing at Larry The Cable Guy even when you're actively trying not to is way worse than not being able to name an obscure seventeenth century shipwrite or whatever. Plus, just as other game shows reward people for their knowledge, this one will reward people…
These articles could very easily be renamed "This is everything coming out this year that we can think of."
So, uh, we're really doing this, huh?
Yeah, but you could say the same thing about Ulysses.
My father is not overly prone to sentiment, and his deep love of literature is a very practical one: the experience of reading the book is what it must be judged by, and nothing more. He is not one to get swept up in the idea of "Greatness" existing in a piece of art outside the impact it has on him personally, except…
You took the words right outta my mouth, PJ.
That's the other thing: I have such very, very mixed feelings about Wonder Woman being finally put on film. On the one hand, yes, it's ridiculous that such an iconic character has never had a proper major-motion-picture appearance while Jonah Hex and John Constantine get movies tossed their way no problem. On the…
Okay, normally I make a point of not judging movies until they come out, but is there any chance, ANY fucking chance, that Batman V Superman won't be an over-stuffed mess? I generally hold to the idea that with the right approach, a good movie can be made out of any premise. But when your premise is "We're going to do…
By the by, I've been really enjoying The Knick. I'm about to watch episode six, and then I'll see what this "Get The Rope" thing everyone raves over is all about. Anyway, yeah, crazy engaging television. I'm surprised at how much I ended up liking Thackery; at first I was kind of in the boat of "Glob, not another…
