Frozen 2 has a lot going for it — some stunning animation, good jokes, and great music — but as a whole it suffers from an incoherent plot, pulled punches, and all-over-the-place themes. If the Academy actually cared about animation at all, I’d be happy to see it nominated for something like “Animation Visual Effects”…

I know The Lego Movie 2 didn’t have a shot - especially after the first didn’t even get nominated - but that would have been a nice surprise. Not as good as the first but a very good follow-up.
