Despite growing up on Long Island, I refuse to pronounce calamari as “galamad”.

I always have a mild panic attack when ordering a gyro at a place I’ve never been. Should I pronounce it gy-ro or year-o? I usually go with year-o. Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter because the waitress knows what you’re talking about either way, even if they will pronounce it the opposite of what I say.   

Every time I go to Taco Bell, I still order a Double Decker taco to be cruelly reminded it is no longer on the menu. I’m still mad about it as it requires no extra ingredients than what already exists at a Taco Bell.

My cousin is in the Steph Curry Rakuten commercial. It’s the first commercial I’ve seen him in and no one informed me he would be in it. I’m just minding my own business, watching the Jets lose like it is any other Sunday when all of a sudden I see him and Steph Curry hanging out on my TV.

Completely agree. It was something that Jack assumed was a harmless joke that maybe wasn’t so harmless in the eyes of Jamal. It was a good learning point for him and I loved the way it was handled and shown. Everyone came out looking good.

No, it’s not outright racist but there was a microagression in the situation when it happened. The issue was that Jack (white guy) only referred to Jamal’s buff as a do-rag because Jamal was black.
