That is pretty fucking great. Never has a movie so demanded an isolated score track.
I'd rather have a brutally honest documentary about the band and road crew of say, an Enslaved-level band, on an intense international tour. It might actually be interesting.
Spike Lee is a pompous dickhead who doesn't bother engaging with what he criticizes. It doesn't help that his last watchable film was "the Inside Job" and his last great film was "25th Hour." He should stop bitching from the sidelines and work on his craft—hell, maybe he could make a "response" film, and make it well.…
I suspect I just thought that because of how many gamers hated it, and would rant about it whenever it came up. The only beef I had with it is the somewhat weird story arc and the oft-broken interrogation mini-game. I loved the recreation of LA, though I kind of wish they populated it a bit more, gave it some real…
Actually, not to defend a widely hated game too much, but LA Noire was actually relatively subtle for its subject matter, and it's recreation of LA was pretty, mundanely realistic. This movie looks like GTA or Dick Tracy, not LA Noire. It's glossy where LA Noire was worn down.

I've seen the first trailer, which I'm guessing this was more of the same based on the headline. Maybe it's less a comment on the film, and more a comment on the way films are marketed these days. But if the marketing for this is accurate then I'd say my observation is spot on. Sure, I'd see it before making a final…
