I’m trying to decide if Billy thought he was impressing Justine with his shitbox punk club (very authentic set design, btw). His “I’ll be in the pit, with the people” line kind of works as a joke where, in his mind, he’s big-league and telling her with false modesty that Shitpope’s huge success in landing a gig hasn’t

If you want to see some good baby acting, check out little Randy at the dry cleaners when Debbie eats a Cheerio that he CLEARLY thinks belongs to him.  There is a whole other scene happening in that shot.

It’s odd the way her lack of professionalism and overall dismissive attitude towards the show mirrors S1 Mark’s condescension.

Rhonda’s better than I would have expected. She gets the “mad scientist” thing, anyway.

Debbie publicly asking Sam and Bash about the meeting with Tom Grant as a way of subtweeting Ruth; and Sam, misreading, telling her not to get back up on her feminist high horse, is a lovely piece of writing.

Sheila’s paranoia about showing her cards to the other wrestlers is a bit odd, considering that her big idea is “wrestle really well,” which is something the Biddies couldn’t pull off if they tried. But it fits in this season’s environment where everyone is scared about their future and sniping at each other because

Betty Gilpin’s weird goofy funniness channeled through Debbie’s breakdown channeled through Liberty Belle’s kitsch and Tammy Faye Bakker makeup is one of the most surreal things I’ve seen on TV in years. The faces she makes in her conversation with Olga and her “NO!” in the Griefercise class are amazing.

When GLOW came out in 2017, it was a bright spot in a dark period for me. Now, it’s a bright spot in a period where I feel like I’ve been abraded into bloody hamburger.
