You absolutely don’t need an SSD for the PS4, hybrid will be fine. You’ll only see about three seconds differences between an SSD and a hybrid.

Do not expect Sony to make a PS3 emulator for the PS4, they would need to do a total emulation of the hardware and that’s where issues arise.

It’s a virtual machine running the Xbox 360 OS and it takes a fuckton of priority over everything else.

Downside, they need to vet software that runs in this and this limits heavily what they can release. It’s also hit and miss as the emulation doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be salvageable.

Problem, emulation requires a console far more powerful than the original. The reason Sony included parts from the PS2 with the PS3 was because it was a lot cheaper to do than come up with a solution for emulation.

This is still emulation, not backwards compatibility.

Sure, but in real life you can actually do something about it. Ranging from free to extremely expensive, but there are options.

So, it sorta fails at emulating reality by a lot.

Those who absolutely must make a change, though, can do so with this client-side fix; it won’t affect how other players see you, but it’ll let you choose what you see on your screen.
