Shaun of the Dead and Resident Evil were both fun takes on the genre. It's really just the unrelenting bleakness of the end of the world that I'm sick and tired of. Not because it depresses me, but because it's utterly boring. If mankind has no goals, hopes, or dreams left, then what's the point of watching the last

No I'm appalled that someone would throw away The Godfather and replace it with that after seeing Slumdog the month before.

I've never understood why people like watching CGI and green-screen movies. It's just so boring to me. On the other hand, watching old Star Wars or Blade Runner, I'm STILL impressed by the models and lighting.

The only reason people suggest you watch that is to laugh at you if you actually do.

This movie is a high tech remake of 'Fern Gully'. The plots and story structure are identical. There, I said it.

Fair enough. I agree that it had themes in it that are worth making movies over, but I thought that the exploration of those themes wasn't in depth enough for the running time. For me, Cameron put so much focus on the look of the film that he neglected the script.

That said, I've only seen it the once in theaters, and

People are bugging you about seeing both series? maybe you should hang out with people who arn't in middleschool any more :P

The first season sucked except for 1.5 episodes, and a zombie apocalypse is pretty much a low-stakes narrative void.

What's that? The show has gotten much better now that it has switched showrunners and fired all of its writers several times over? Wonderful. Don't care.

If you're doing that, then I gotta do this:

I actually enjoyed the Harry Potter movies just because they were entertaining and visually well done. I've never read the books, I tried reading the first book but Rowling's writing style was so much of an eyesore I couldn't concentrate enough to make sense of the words. So I put it down.

Not sci-fi but people act like this was the greatest film of our time.

Arrested Development is AWESOME. You HAVE TO see it. ;)

Harry potter is worth it, but who is recommending the horrible twilight films

it's funny...where I grew up in Calgary, A Christmas Story was never talked about or seen apparently...but here in Toronto it's everyone's favourite christmas move...I think it stinks.

You aren't missing anything.

Seriously. It can't be THAT good, right? And as an ex-film student, who's seen a LOT of movies, it appalled me that my peers have crowned it their favorite movie ever, surpassing their previous favorites that included the first and third Indiana Jones movies, The Empire Strikes Back, and The Godfather. I also have Tita

More, "you can't say anything if you haven't seen it." That resulted in me watching 'Twilight', 'Sex and the City', and 'Transformers', and, hey, guess what? I was right the first time: they're all awful.

OK, yeah, blue people with hair penises or something. Awesome.
