It’s strange I haven’t watched it yet as I studied WWII in the Pacific in college. As such, I can already anticipate how the scenes showing the invasions of the islands might go down.

Was The Pacific any good? I loved Band of Brothers, but never got around to watching The Pacific. I believe I’ve heard from “yeah, it’s okay” to “pretty good”.

Dunno, that’s a pretty basic one right there. You want to be salty and pissy and not even extend the courtesy of a handshake, then yeah, I’m fine with Sherman’s reaction. Sherman didn’t do the equivalent of throwing a fastball at someone’s head, he just said it motivated him. Nothing to see here.

I can see where you’re coming from here, but I think he says the reason: if he can’t do it, everyone gets tortured forever. It’s not a “well, we’ll keep working on this our next session” kind of thing. The stakes are just too high.

Wasn’t there a PBS special or something that had Click and Clack going around looking for the future of cars (i.e. electric, more lightweight materials, etc.)? Pretty sure I’m remembering that correctly and it was a good program.
