“When Doves Cry” doesn’t even have bass in it (which is actually kind of insane for such a huge pop song).
I’d likely be fine with it as I actually kind of like we bands re-tinker with their songs (see: Car Seat Headrest, Sufjan Stevens, The Ys Street Band, etc.).
I really liked You’re The One, actually, so I might have to check out Blue Light as that album is particularly well represented.
