While I was going through her first album, I came across this performance and pretty much fell in love on the spot:
Never seen the show, but just wanted to say that’s a sweet Coming To America costume.
This movie is definitely the gold standard for generic team names. The “Minnesota Americans”?
“analogue childhood, digital adulthood.”
Same on both fo sho.
This take is good and true. “Duck, Duck, Gray Duck” is clearly the superior game. I don’t know how others do not see this.
As it’s relevant to how shitty it was, it should be mentioned that when the half ended the score was 3-2(!).
Announcers were puzzled too. It was almost as impressive as Bradford thinking his O-line would allow him >3 seconds to throw it from his own end zone.
As a Vikings fan, it’s hard to decide if I’m impressed at the play or annoyed at how stupid it made the Vikes look.
suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure...
...jism?
Her performance in Stranger Things was.... not good.
Ha, I love the 7/4 time (and the switch to 4/4 for the solo). It’s one of those bits of trivia I like to break out. It’s fun to watch people go over in the heads and come back with “Oh yeah, huh.”
After hearing it too much for years, I could take or leave “Another Brick In The Wall”. However, “Another Brick In The Wall (Part 3)“ is fucking sick.
Can’t say it’s my definitive favorite, but “Crawling Back To You” has always been in the top for me. That verse after the bridge is so damn mournful. It’s been in my head all day and randomly choking me up.
Agreed. “Cabin Down Below” is in a somewhat similar vein.
This came out my senior year in high school, and I really liked it (especially that song as I had my eye on someone that was dating a total dickhead). Echo and Room At The Top are great songs too.
I always like the video for “You Don’t Know How It Feels”. The weird, rotating background. The chick that comes up and takes over singing. Awesome.
I mentioned it on a different article, but I listened to Walls this morning and lost it at:
“Some things are over/Some things go on/Part of me you carry/Part of me is gone”
