Of course everyone is perfectly entitled to their own opinion, but distilling games (or any other piece of media) like that is not a good way to exemplify why you like or dislike it, or to show people how good or bad it is.
It’s true. But I think that ignores the whole purpose of the visual medium and specifically film. They aren’t trying to create realistic representations of an environment. Any realism is a bonus. Instead their goal is to create a feeling and message and use that environment to do it.
Wouldn’t really call that a plot…
I’m the best at parties, if the party involves pointing out the plotholes in movies.
And THIS time, he’s serious, you guys.
Personally I have the Titantfall 2 shortcut on my desktop. When I want to play Titanfall 2 I just click on that, wait for the game to load, and then play. Having a shortcut on Steam also works.
This is the biggest reason I haven’t picked Titanfall 2. I really want to play it, but the way I buy games is to throw it on my Steam wishlist, wait until I get a notification that it’s on sale, then go grab it. Origin has such a small library that I never go there to check if there are any deals going on. So if…
I really wish Titanfall was doing better as a franchise. I don’t think enough people know how good it is.
I don’t know. I get what you’re saying, but unfortunately Derek Smart has made a comment that I think a lot of gamers feel deep down inside and refuse to acknowledge. We all want an affordable VR system with badass games and experiences. We aren’t there.
Yup, finding out someone responsible for one of your favorite games growing up is kind of a dick is not what I wanted to find out today.
I just call it “Artiste Syndrome”, a general catch-all for creatives who think they can say or do anything they want just because of who they are, which usually results in them revealing themselves to be bigoted cunts.
He just straight up is a backward twat out of touch.
This sucks, sure - but if they gave complete resource refunds, then it’d take maybe half an hour to an hour max rebuilding, especially with friends. “How to lose a fanbase” sounds a bit like an overreaction. It’s an early access game, don’t act surprised when stuff like this happens - you knew what you signed up for,…
Hey, if it ain’t broke.
Microtransactions don’t bother me. Cosmetic items don’t bother me. What bothers me is tying game extras to randomized systems that then give you the option to pay for them. That’s gambling and it’s bullshit, no matter who’s doing it.
the MLA-formatted response was almost even better than the original post!

I googled and didnt find anything.. is this from something?
I am feeling a little confused after reading the opening paragraph, I need my safe space.
The “I’m an out-of-control narcissist” joke is less funny in 2017 than it might have been in the past.
