Please don't cancel Harvey Weinstein, so many kids love the Weinstein movies 🙄

“What’s wrong with a little sexual abuse here and there, she makes my daughter dance!”

“It felt so wrong, it felt so ... no, that first one really covers it.”

As much as I want to imagine a parent telling their child this, I think Poprocksandsoda is just using their kid as a scapegoat for enjoying shitty pop.

Yeah, but at least I admit it. Makes it easier to not be a jerk when people note you’re wrong.

“I’m just musing and know very little.”

In a related note, a visibly shattered glass ceiling has come forward saying Katy Perry broke it with her lips.

Susan B. Anthony is turning in her grave...

I mean, she did so well at sexualizing bisexuality at the start of her career...

I don’t think that’s ever been done successfully. Once an image is established it’s hard to change into anything but a sadder version of the same.

Maybe she can run back to her roots as a “Christian” artist and pull the ol’ “HollyWEIRD changed me but now I’m born again (and ready for your money)” routine

Susan B. Anthony is turning in her grave... in order to get away from the gropey Katy Perry.

Looks like you need to have a serious sit-down with your daughter about Cancel Culture. It’s time.

/s?

She built her image around being an aggressively sexual, party-girl. It’s sad that this happened, but also very on brand for her. It’s a little odd to me that she’s sometimes championed as a progressive or even feminist figure when her work seems at best banal and at worst, fairly exploitative. But I’m just musing and…

Can we all take a minute to acknowledge trailblazer Katy Perry for bisexualizing sexual harrassment? Another civil rights milestone!

“i kissed a girl, she disliked it” probably wouldn’t have been as big a hit

Ummmmmm David Spade is way too good for Meghan McCain.

Hey gringa! Mami is a term of affection used in many close relationships in the spanish speaking community. Women say it to their friends, its used to address females in romantic relationships. It doesnt just mean mother. Are you sure you grew up in Arizona?

my understanding is that the “mami” and “papi” usage for Spanish speakers is VERY different than English speakers’ use of mom/dad, mommy/daddy, etc. Based almost solely on the fact that Gloria calls her son “papi” on Modern Family. I figured it was just a sort of all-purpose term of endearment?
