On the one hand, I would totally do this if I had the funds.

You never know what you’re going to get with Gwyneth; I’d be equally unsurprised if she and Brad wound up living with all of their kids, plus Chris, Dakota, any offspring they might have, and maybe throw in Blythe Danner and Melanie Griffith. Brand their “group Home” a “GOOP Home”.
idk about living in separate houses, but my wife and I have had separate bedrooms for over 20 years of marriage and it’s a huge reason we’re still together.
I think it’s genius and not a new concept. I wish we could afford 2 adjoining apartments, with a special door for our son to go between, so my husband could make his goddamn mess in his own space and we could hang out (and bone) in mine.
I know a couple like this, though neither of them have kids. They married late in life, both own their own properties, and built businesses in their respective communities. The wife lives in a mid-sized suburb in Orange County, which is too “urban” for her husband, who prefers the rural life of inland Central…
Instead of letting someone - god forbid - eat during their break because - people need food - and instead SHAME them on social media in a mocking way, fuck no should she get the book deal back. She showed her colors all over the internet as a snotty jerk trying to mock an employee who ate on their break.
I agree. And when one can temporarily abscond to Jordan while also taking a leave from one’s job at the World Bank in the capital of the US, and then CLAIM those as damages in a lawsuit ... really, the privilege here is incredible.
Seems like it would be way easier to just treat people decently and not be a jerk on Twitter, but...sure. Sue your publisher. Go off.
Apparently the rules had been recently changed. Tynes just fucked up her own life for nothing.
It’s truly disgusting - she just announced to the world how vapid and genuinely cruel she is as a person. And so narcissistic she can’t even apologize for her own actions - still trying to point the finger for a wave she caused her damn self. For shame.
I have no idea what her contract was like but her publisher could also argue that the negative press they received could have been damaging, as Natasha Tynes was not tweeting as Natasha Tynes, random subwaygoer - by virtue of using her social media as an advertising wing for her work she was still in that moment…
So she’s suing a firm who clearly did not agree with her shitty, immature, and cruel actions. The narcissism is strong with this one. I hope the judge laughs at her and throws it out. She could have ruined that poor woman’s LIFE with that little stunt. Hopefully this will teach her something we’re taught as kids -…
It really was a “mind your business” moment and she missed it. Not everything has to be put online.
Proofread is one word.
if it was really a ‘rules thing’, then why didn’t tynes follow the official channels available? instead of resorting to social media. spoiler alert - because it wasn’t a ‘rules thing’.
Well said. And, sadly, I think the answer is likely no, Tynes is not capable of understanding that.
And all the terrible, awful, no good stuff that happened as a result of her publisher dumping her, was a result of her trying to get someone reprimanded. For eating lunch. If you’re going to go out of your way to ruin someone’s day for your own satisfaction, don’t do it in public. She’s the one who ruined her…
Tynes stands to lose income, reputation, and earning potential. The woman whose photo Tynes tweeted stood to lose the same things — and if that worker was working poor (which wouldn’t be surprising though we can only speculate), she might have lost more in relative terms and be left with far less in absolute terms.
Tynes ruined her own reputation. She could have used official complaint channels but instead wanted to put the worker on blast with social media and it backfired.
Pretty sure facing consequences for her blatant racism is causing her problems, not her book distributers, but who's to say?
