Thank you! It's not the pregnancy photos, it's the crazy poses. I had my mom snap a few nice pregnancy photos of my husband and I, at a park, when I was about 8 months along. Just happy couple photos, no strange poses or ribbons on my belly or whatever.

Sad buzzkill: while these pictures are adorbs and I applaud this guy on every possible level, the fact that this all looks silly to us really underscores how infantilizing pictures of women typically are, including in pregnancy photoshoots. What looks "sexy" and "cute" on a woman looks ridiculous on a man, because our

So I guess if a woman takes selfies of herself in a bikini isn't weird and narcissistic then?

I refused to take part in this bullshit when I was preg with my daughter, even though my mother, mother-in-law, aunts, etc. were all desperate to talk me into it. It wasn't even necessarily the overt and disgusting preciousness of it so much as it was just patently ridiculous.

Because you're always on our lawns! With your smarty phones and your eye pads and your fancy coffee drinks we can't pronounce. Damn whippersnappers. My walker doesn't have blue tooth!

The mom's statement at the daycare is the one detail I can't write off as an unfortunate coincidence. Plenty of people cheat on their spouses; plenty of people read creepy shit on the internet. But for your mind to go straight to "he must have left the baby in the car" ... there's no way that would happen unless you

I'm sorry. I also wish I could post weird sex things and cute animals all day, but breaking news is breaking news.

Thanks for basically ruining my weekend with this story. Leaving now to take my kids for as much ice cream as they can eat until they barf. Big hugs for them. They are the light of my life.

WELL THAT HEADLINE CHANGED QUICKLY.

WHY YOU OPEN THE CURTAINS THEY CAN SEE YOU NOW

I'm sorry, but your headline really oversold it. This is approximately the level terror this inspired:

Mark, are you by any chance coming off a gig at Sick, Sad World?

Fun Story:

Always glad to hear someone embrace her child-free life, though I prefer the succinct and to-the-point explanation by Helen Mirren:

Is it me, or is Cameron Diaz getting more awesome as time goes on?

Yeah... now I just hate the interviewer. What a bag-o-dicks.

I was trying to figure out how to put exactly that into words. Straight, white, cis men have no obligation to represent us, but when we try to represent ourselves, suddenly we're responsible for making sure they get even more representation....even though they refuse to return the favor.

Here is the crazy ass thing about this argument though. When women (or gays, or Asians, et. al.) are under represented in media, it's up to them to make themselves represented. Then when they do make themselves represented, they're now on the hook for representing everyone else too.
