So I guess this is totally missing the point, but I look at one and see a surreal Barbie doll, and the other looks like a fairly attractive human woman. Am I supposed to be repelled by the ones on the right? Because they just look real to me, while the others look artificial.

When one’s high-paid livelihood depends on public opinion about their physical appearance, they should weigh their words very carefully when discussing feminism and objectification. It’s not rocket surgery. We’d mock self-proclaimed human rights activists who work for the CIA, too.

And continuing that harm by saying she doesn't diet or work out.

But don’t you see how that’s Not Her Fault and what is she supposed to do, make herself Fat and Ugly?? Sorry not sorry. /s

Not only how Ratajkowski has benefited from the privileges that come with looking the way she does, but also how her image is used in a way that is actively harmful to so many women and girls.

This really merited an entire article?

Yes, and it’s also why he was only prosecuted for his crimes AFTER the well started to run dry, box office wise. See also: Kelly, R.

This. In fact, it’s the fact that he’s so good at his job that let him get away with what he did for so long.

He’s an irredeemable scumbag. But he also had a talent to sell movies and make stars out of mediocre talent. Both things can be true.

I’m surprised they took the gamble on theatrical release. If I just come across this on Netflix, *maybe* I give it a look. But I’m not going to pay like $12-15 to go to a theater to see a documentary about events that have been thoroughly covered by news media for years now, and which cannot have a definite end,

He might be a monster but he’s not wrong about this. I’d watch She Said on TV but I wouldn’t go to a movie theater to watch it.

“Also, Dove Cameron of Disney Channel fame is a musical artist now? Someone come help this old figure out who’s who on the music scene, because I am lost.”

I took my nephew to see Black Panther on Friday night, and dear god, the movie theater is becoming as bad as public transportation. I live near one of those theaters that has the lounge/lazy boy chairs, and people were literally bringing in picnic basics and blankets. Dude next to me ate for 3 HOURS STRAIGHT. I

I think that people want to see these “prestige” movies, but they are perfectly content to wait to see them on their home screen. I thin they should release in theaters for a short time for awards consideration, and then quickly make available to rent via streaming services.

I can’t think of anything I’d like to watch less than these Oscar bait movies, even in the best years. And while I’d like a little more substance than tentpole superhero films offer, could we please have a little joy or intrigue or spice? A sexy movie with an R rating or a visually interesting film that doesn’t make

Yes, she was. Keep herself out of it, but she decided it was a better look to stick up for a known, proven piece of shit.

So basically she’s of the opinion that it doesn’t matter that he beat the shit out of his partner and is unrepentant, he has good connections so she’s gonna police people’s reactions.

Sex, and ejaculating in particular, is apparently not conducive to playing at a high level of football. It doesn’t appear to hurt one’s basketball-playing abilities, though (see Chamberlain, Wilt).

Gee, who would have imagined noted huge asshole Tom Brady was a miserly fuck, too?

I thought it was pretty accepted that when super rich people have charities, those are usually just a way for them to funnel money back into their other enterprises. Twas ever thus.
