I think it’s a comment on hypocrisy, not power

“This really is a family matter.”

Oh, no. This little scheme is not even remotely a “family matter.” How can you even argue that with a straight face (even if they’re paying you to do so)?

Because this is the most publicity Aunt Becky has ever gotten. She’s been recognized but not famous for decades now. Several of the cast in Full House had pretty good careers afterwards, she’s doing Lifetime movies of the week. For all her huff and indignation, I think she loves seeing her face in the newsstands

If they don’t want it to go to trial, and they don’t want their daughters to be put on the stand, why the hell are they claiming Not Guilty? Jesus, people are stupid.

They are going to get nailed to the wall.  They are so dumb, it’s breathtaking.  The Feds have Singer, they have the emails, they probably the bank records, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they had audio.  This is going to go down like those nature documentaries where you see a lion mauling a baby deer.

What’s sad is that the parents want to do best for the child yet every single move Lori and her husband have made is doing the exact opposite - making it worse for the child.

Wow what idiots. Federal DAs don’t bluff, they collect convictions.

Sorry, the Animal House “I’m not going to let you bad-mouth the United States of America” defense isn’t going to work here either.

This reminds me of a storyline on Shameless (back when I was still watching). Fiona got drunk and high on coke and her youngest brother, who was under five, got into the coke. He almost died. When the paramedics came, she straight up told them it was her coke. She was arrested and charged with various things,

It’s a very bad idea. But so far, she’s only come across as someone so insulated from reasonable ideas (“any mother would have done the same,” the fraud itself, etc) that it’s no great shock.

But...in the absence of good judgement on the client’s part, it’s the duty of the client’s attorney to advise against engaging

She’s going to be shocked when she finds out she can’t hire someone to do the time for her.

Nothing Sansa has done suggests she’s one of the smartest politicians in Westeros. She consistently acts bullheadedly and without any sort of strategy, and her results speak for themselves; her attempts at diplomacy consistently fail, she isn’t good at big picture thinking, she consistently mistrusts the wrong

Sansa absolutely did antagonize her. That’s why all the other characters are talking about how hostile she was.

I feel like last season missed an opportunity to SHOW Sansa outsmarting Littlefinger to justify Arya’s claim that her wisdom has grown. Because while Sansa has had a lot of formative experiences, I just don’t believe we’ve seen enough successful scheming on her part to give credence to her being anywhere in the same st

She probably thinks her dragons are different, because they’re her children, and they know to trust the people she trusts?

Right. For people who are about to be overrun by an undead army they spend way too much time being concerned by dynastic issues. I understood this when whitewalkers were a myth to most but now it seems kind of trivial to be a dick to someone who brought not only the armies but also the weapons that can hurt the undead

Also speaking of dragons eating, can’t they just fly south to eat? The bullshit time-fudging of last season implied they could fly from Dragonstone to The Wall in less than a day. Going a couple hundred miles from Winterfell for lunch shouldn’t be particularly taxing.

I really don’t get why people think she was threatening Sansa with that comment. I think she’s going to have the same “why do you keep brining this up in public” problem Jon has with her.

John Bradley was far and away the acting standout for this episode. Terrific work from him in the scene with Daenerys and Jorah.
