Um, I actually see liberals (not leftists) defending Franken online all the time. People zealously defended Biden against any and all accusations. I fully expect Cuomo stans to do the same.

I wonder whether this or the broken promise to the voters in the special election about $2k checks will have the biggest impact in flipping Georgia back red.
Yeah, that Neera fight worked out great, didn’t it?
Nah
Yeah, odd take on this
Really happy that she didn’t get the job for actual policy reasons, but I think it’s hilarious that her dumbass tweets are the real reason she didn’t get the job.
If the narrative is that they simply didn’t have the votes, why (in the same situation of needing 50 votes) did they fight to confirm Neera but didn’t fight for $15/hr?
So, if they didn’t have the votes on this and punted, why were they fighting so hard to get Neera confirmed. They didn’t have the votes for that, either. Yet, they were talking to Murkowski about drilling in the ANWR in return for her confirming Neera. They literally didn’t even call Manchin about the minimum wage…
For real, though, hilarious that you conflate the parliamentarian and the filibuster. The issue with the parliamentarian has come up before, and the Republicans handled it in the way you’d expect. They didn’t let it stop their policy objectives. It’s not like the filibuster in that it would forever change things. It’s…
Why don’t centrist dems choose the not-evil option? Why do they constantly choose against the things they promise?
And some people in Blue MAGA will never admit to broken promises.
Georgia is gonna flip red in the midterms, because the Biden administration is going to do nothing to help the people who need it. Georgia flipped by promising actual goals. “Nothing will fundamentally change” will mean bleeding red in 2022.
We can, but they’re not why we don’t have $15/hr. We don’t have that, because mainstream Dems don’t want it.
It’s not a two-edged sword. The parliamentarian can be overruled, and could be before then, and could be after. It’s not like nuking the filibuster.
We’re not actually trying, though. We’re messaging, but not actually trying.
No court challenge. The senate makes its own rules, and that rule could have been overridden by Harris. The Biden Administration simply didn’t actually want $15/hr, so they’re hiding behind the parliamentarian, which isn’t fair to her.
Sinema, Manchin, and the parliamentarian are all just scapegoats for Blue MAGA. The Biden Admin will gladly hide behind them and say “aw, shucks, couldn’t get that for ya” because Biden never wanted to do those things anyway.
It’s also misleading, because Biden definitely didn’t want it.
Yeah, they are supposed to be, and I’d assume that’s why she’s playing it.
Fewer parties. Sex reveals were already unnecessary.
