Yeah a coach will just roll over and let management walk all over him instead of leaking to the press that management isn’t try to win.

Oh, sorry, man. I thought you made that comment on purpose as a joke. Didn’t realize you were advising them to tank for picks they don’t have anymore.
This is an outstanding point, thank you for pointing that out. It just helps the Browns*.
*Until the Browns trade the pick for a 2034 1st, 2nd & 3rd rounder.
It’s also utter bullshit because THE TEXANS DO NOT HAVE A DRAFT PICK UNTIL THE THIRD ROUND. Holy shit people should really have some idea what they are talking about before they start typing.
Yes, yes, God hates Cleveland etc. lol
THE TEXANS DO NOT HAVE A DRAFT PICK UNTIL THE THIRD ROUND. Want to try another excuse?
As pointed out from the article, Watson’s injury happened in the first half of the season AND the Texans were still well in the mix for a playoff spot. Teams in the NFL rarely tank and it’s hard to do that with a talented team (like the Texans are), since the coach and players are still going to be playing for better…
What is even crazier in that in three years all those players the Browns pick will most likely be out of NFL. They would have better drafts if they pulled names out of a hat.
Considering he has millions of dollars of future earnings at risk, the fact that OBrien isn’t the GM wouldn’t have deterred him from strongly advocating for a player if he thought that player would help him keep his ridiculously lucrative head coaching job.
Haha, that’s a great parody of a stupid comment. Nice work. I almost thought you were serious for a second.
Wow, I forgot about this. The Watson injury was a huge break for the Browns’ draft value. Right now, the Browns would have 2 top 5 picks, plus an extra pick at 37. That’s crazy.
You are wrong and don’t know anything about football if you think he wasn’t a “very good football player”.
Are you seriously suggesting that O’Brien would rather the team flame out and get a higher draft pick but lose his job, than keep his job by squeaking into the playoffs? Because that’s dumb af.
They already traded their first and second round picks to the Browns.
Their first and second round picks go to Cleveland (moving up for Watson and offloading Losswieler)
Can that afro even fit inside a football helmet? Deadspin SAYS they’re concerned about CTE, but they’re just asking teams to send out a player who can’t protect his head! #footballmeansfamily
But the Cure for Cancer (built collaboratively through the World Congress) sent my empire into a Golden Age, and netted me +3 Happiness per City and +5 Food from every Medical Lab!
You’re not going to get rubes with an excess of disposable income to give you money with that kind of attitude.
There is no “cure for cancer” and there will never be a “cure for cancer” because cancer is not one enemy to be defeated, it is dozens (if not hundreds) of enemies that each need to be confronted. It’s a catchall term for a whole host of terrible diseases that share some common mechanisms.
