“You aren’t even arguing my point homey. He said brock was remembered as a baby because his career ended with back to back losses.” He was arguing (with a little hyperbole) that Brock, when left MMA the first was coming off back to back losses but was still portrayed as an unbeatable monster in WWE.

“Like, are you trying to say that Barry Bonds did not, in fact, hit all those home runs?” No I am saying he cheated to do it and his reputation has suffered because of it.

“He beat one of the most respected, decorated heavyweight fighters of all time who was on a big win streak.” Look I am a Kiwi and I like Mark Hunt but if Hunt is who you are describing that is bullshit. He is a gatekeeper who has never held the heavyweight title. He’s currently 7th and has a 7-4-1 UFC record.

“Lesnar won his last fight against Mark Hunt.” And failed multiple drug tests. I think the other commentor was talking about the first time he went back to the WWE from MMA.

“It’s essentially ‘our TNT mine exploded’. Not a huge stretch.” Okay but there is a huge ‘moon sized space station’ and a rather large mining operation, How is the Rebellion unaware (and the senate is supposedly unaware as well) of what the Empire is doing?

“Or the ways in which the Empire is the one using terror as a weapon.”

I know being a Chargers fan is not as hard as being a Browns fan but it is still f*cking painful.

“and was also known to be on his way to becoming the LAST JEDI IN THE GALAXY, you don’t think the Rebel Alliance would have spared no expense to replace his hand?” I take your point but I am not sure how important this last part would have been. Seemingly, most people do not believe in the force at this point and from

Well we do not know when Saw’s injuries occurred (or did I miss that too?) and he is apparently able to run a Guerilla campaign against the Empire’s transport ships, seems like he would have to financial backing from someone.

I really find it hard to believe that Luke as part of an illegal rebellion has vastly more resources than a leader of an illegal rebellion. It was a shortcut taken by the writers because they did not want him to live because he had seen the message.

Fantastic article. Thank you for this illuminating (and depressing) piece.

Remember Luke’s artificial hand?

“It is not like the movie does not clearly show his difficulties moving on his artificial legs, and even more clearly show him using a respirator.” I did not think this was well conveyed but why if he had artificial legs would he be struggling to walk (Vader has no problems).

“At the time, it made complete sense that they were skeptical when Jyn gave this account of the message which, by the way, had been lost”

“Except they never really abandoned Sith/Empire=Bad.” I think this was a real problem with TFA. Obviously Disney is planning to make sequels endlessly and you would think simple good versus evil is going to limit their ability to tell interesting stories at some point (I am not a fan of either movie so far).

“and returned as a smuggler afterwards until TFA.” I did not think this made much sense considering where we left the story in ROTJ.

“or Feudal Japan first.” Why has this not happened yet?

“I agree with Nicole. I really want to see the terror of Vader on screen.”

“How dark? My son will turn five this month—lucky him, he’ll get a Star Wars movie for his next five birthdays—so I hope it will not be too scary for him. He did fine with TFA, and it, along with ESB, are his favorites.”

“I think hosts attempting to use knives would be crippled the same way the “Level Zero” gunslinger from the beginning of the past couple episodes acted”
