Well I grew up in the 80s-90s. I still remember watching the movies for the first time on my Grandma’s VHS (I think I was like 9 or 10). I had the same feeling that I’d never seen anything like it. Kids still seem to love Star Wars.

Yeah they edited out the scene where Rey was given the leather jacket (also it was after the scene where you finally realised the obvious) and they very clearly have an emotional scene where he takes the Jacket after Poe appears to have died (interesting note originally he did die and then JJ changed his mind).
