I think he deserves all the musical awards we can throw at him. But a Nobel over someone like Haruki Murakami or hell, even Joan Didion? And that’s a good point; I believe genres should always be challenged so that we make new developments in art/culture. It just feels like. frustrating decision.

Yes! This! I have been coming to terms with the same revelations.
