Toootally!

Especially since there’s enough crossover/similarities with Spanish, and even English, for someone to be very basically understood. “Polizia” would be fairly understandable for someone who only speaks English, you’d think.

You made me think of my grandfather, who lived in California (so as a Pennsylvanian, I didn’t see him terribly often as a kid). He had the absolute WORST sense of direction in the entire world.

Reminder to self: the moral of this story is to never get lost before post-run shower.

Really, most of them should stop talking. Just shhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Excellent (and topical) username.

but Miley deeeefinitely has legs for days but here I am alive?

Me me me me I am in that club. Maybe my distaste is really a self-preservation instinct in disguise!

I love this mashup so much.

Someone did a panty like this on Project Runway this season (episode 6) and it was so, so delicious watching Nina tear it apart.

I can sometimes be convinced that a less-exaggerated French cut (that’s the name, right?) is flattering to women with awesome legs (I wish I could join your club there!). But here it just screws up her proportions so much. It makes her hips look enormous and because it messes up the waistline too I think it widens her

I will never understand these kinds of leg cuts. SO unflattering.

What DO you do with your elbows??

I lost it at, “I’ve got some chicken that’ll do” and “I can find the goose! I’ve found geese before, and I can find them again! They congregate near ponds!”

I, like, legitimately feel sad that he’s so beat up by Blitzer. He just looked so happy to be there at the debate, and now his frown is, well, right-side-up. #sweetGecko

CNN (really, Time Warner) is really pissing me off. Not only are issue candidates valid, like you mention, but their post-debate coverage has been pretty suspect. Editing out Bernie’s critique of the media after his “damn emails” line and universally praising Clinton’s performance (despite their own focus groups and

Right? It’s why he played an elf so successfully: he’s clearly nonemotional and nonhuman.

omg BURN THEM ALL TO THE GROUND.

Rereading this a few hours later, I agree it came out sounding funny. What I meant was that “no means no” approaches to consent put a higher burden on the victim—they’re seen as consenting to a sexual act unless they said “no” (which is problematic for a lot of reasons).

Meanwhile affirmative consent (“yes means yes”)

I agree that we don’t definitively know it was assault; I guess my frustration is that while we can’t say it was definitely assault, we also can’t say it wasn’t. And since the conditions are there for a massive power imbalance (stripper/sex worker, peer pressure, alcohol, frat culture—lots of stuff you mentioned) I’m
