Absolutely. And they never stop calling once they get your number. Not a good experience.

You have a funny definition of “right.” You must make Jesus proud.
I’m not sure if this is a new, or state, or company specific. I never left anyone on the side of the road. We even had extra cab trucks to respond to minivan full of people. I always carried extra bottle of water for “passengers” and even a small bag full of cheap plush toys for the smaller kids.
There are engines absolutely everywhere for these. And we have a nearby friend with all of the cool tools (ha) to make an engine install pretty quick.
She should send an email to the resident junkyard guru, David Tracy.....
A rebuild might be too expensive, but how common is this engine in junkyards? If they’re as unkillable as advertised there’s gotta be a bunch of rusted out Buicks with serviceable motors out there.
They are more like guided cluster bombs of virus.
Also, we have to be regulated when it comes to modifying our cars, but these smoldering garbage barges are allowed to exist? Good fucking riddance.
There’s only one way manufacturers are going to build more cars in the US, and that’s when consumers make a concerted effort to purchase US-made cars; You can’t have it six ways from Sunday (I’m definitely looking at you, Trumpers and Bernie supporters who have their stickers all over your foreign cars).
I would love to have the last Celebrity....
Nah, the way they get around local taxi regulations is by ignoring them.
And extortion.
It also lets them avoid the extensive and locally variable regulations involved in the taxi cab industry.
It’s not that crazy when the driver has to buy the vehicle (it has to be relatively new as well), fuel, insurance, and pay to maintain it.
I never understood why Jed’s kinfolk thought California was the place he ought to be. Anyone could see he wasn’t going to fit in there. Such a faulty premise for a show.
I have bought Mobil1 from Amazon before. They had a 5 quart jug of full synthetic for like $20 or $22. That was cheaper than Walmart at the time so I bought it and it showed up 2 days later and I did the oil change. 2 days isn’t a long time to wait. I don’t see how it’s different than going to a store to buy it.
Agreed. I, like everyone else who changes their own oil and shells out the extra money for full synthetic, am not going to buy an unproven brand just because it’s cheaper.
Jed Clampett’s brand.
Yeah, if the oil holds up, I’m all about it. But that’s a big ‘if’ when talking about something that can ruin a pretty expensive asset...
That woody wagon in your picture is way cooler than almost everything Buick has sold since then.
