I am astounded that NYC buys its cast products from India. There is a well-known and reputable foundry in Harrison, New Jersey called Campbell Foundry. I fail to see how it could be that much cheaper to ship manhole covers and other cast products from the other side of the globe than trucking them in from 5 miles…
