Correct. I said Christian values. I understand there is separation of church and state but that does not mean that Christian values did not have a major role in the crafting of our constitution and bill of rights.

Separation of church and state does not necessarily mean that Christian values were not held in high regard when crafting our laws. Does that make sense?

As I mentioned to another, the religion hasn’t done anything. Those who use it as justification for their actions are the ones to blame. Every evil doer has a reason, the religion to justify it is immaterial. Isn’t that Obama’s stance in regard to Islam? You did vote for him and believe in the party he represents,

I never said we were a Christian nation, rather that our laws were based on Christian values. But many here jumped to the conclusion that I meant that. Others jumped to the conclusion that I was defending Christianity. I am not. I’m merely stating that our country was founded with a strong influence from the religion.

Mine is the sacrifice of blowhards...

Hater. What did the Christian religion do to you ?

Good and bad and justified however, they were based in and from the Christian religion. It was the prevalent religion in which the majority came to the new world believing. Our country was founded with its presence and influence. You can ask ‘which ones’ whatever. It’s a fact.

General values of the day were Christian based. Our laws and rights were also based on these general values. Don’t over think it too much.

Not worth it. Your mind is made up.

That is overthinking it by a large margin lol. Choose not to agree in typing your blather but you know it’s true.

I’m not trying to insult you. We’re fed so much garbage and it would behoove you to recognize that both sides simply do not care about this country. Both sides solely want power and will try to attain it in any way they can.

You’re thinking too much. Back when our country was founded, many of the founders, if they were not proclaimed Christians, led their lives with Christian values as society of the day required it, as it does today. Christianity was (and is) the predominant religion of Europe. As such, our constitution, bill of rights

I didn’t say Christianity nor Christian ideology. I said Christian values. There is a difference. Prove me wrong. I’m not a religious man, but I do try to live by many of the 10 Commandments and the golden rule.

Whatever this country was founded on, it is definitely not in practice now. Our government is absolutely corrupt in every sense of the word.
