Isn't a bit unfair to compare the number of people playing Call of Duty on 360 (a 6 year-old console with a very good installed base) to the WiiU (a 2 DAYS OLD console)?

Yup, but they will be soon implementing Miiverse on the PC, Phones and even the 3DS (announced at E3) so they will most likely change it.

The magic word of the day is "Currently".

Sorry, I don't understand all this bitching. Of course it will be slow, it day one, everybody is updating this sucker at the same time. It's not like Apple's servers are more reliable the moment a new iOS shows up.

Yeah... Thats what I meant as well. It would be stupid and impractical if not.

Miiverse will be on the WiiU and 3DS. As well as smartphones and PCs so it would be ridiculous to create a NNID to have to create it again to use it on your other device.

I was referring the fact that Sonic games are as repetitive as Mario games, not that Sonic is Nintendo's IP.

Colors was amazing, so was Generations. I really want a new 3D Sonic, I'm really tired of the 2D ones (Sonic 4).

And even still you have a Sonic avatar...

Me too, the game exactly the same as their HD counterparts.

"Nintendo is doing something different than the other platforms"

What I fail to see is that, if the Gamepad has a mic built in, why the heck is Nintendo's fault if some third party games can't properly use it, requiring a separate headset?

It's not exactly and extra cost though. Nintendo said that they chose to do this way since everyone has a USB Key / SDHC card nowadays. So they EXPECT you to buy expandable memory since they will be also releasing the games in Download form, just like with the 3DS.

Actually I'm not new here, I was just wondering about the content of the news being a little too negative blaming even the WiiU's online capabilities even though the official statement was only "elite will not be available at launch for the WiiU"

But the WiiU fully support any type of external memory (USB Keys, External HDD and SDHC) so people that are buying the WiiU will have to buy an external memory. So I don't think that is too much of an issue.

Well... This kinda doesn't mean anything, they only said it wouldn't be available at launch. It may very well be implemented in a near future...

In Japan they will be 200y each. So probably $1.99 over here?

Every time Geoff meets Reggie they have this kind of polite flame wars.

The 3DS conferences (JP, USA, UK) last time happened simultaneously and it was VERY good. They showed everything we wanted to know about the system (stuff that we kinda knew due to TGS) so I'm not worried at all for this one.

Ten bucks that if the article was talking about the PS360 version of the game, people wouldn't be overreacting that much.
