I’m not sure what the solution this would be. How else do you suggest they incorporate a large screen, which is desirable, into a small cabin dash and keep room for the console, other controls, the shifter, and keep sightlines reasonable. I’m not saying you’re wrong, just that I don’t think there are many options to

Looks nice, but man do I hate the touch-screen-that-looks-like-a-tablet-mashed-into-the-counsel look.  Obviously it’s not just Jeep...seems like every carmaker is doing this.  Please integrate your screens into the counsel.

Pretty sure there is a 5.0 Ford kit on the market ready to be bolted in.

There’s an unacceptable void all around that hat box.

That was pretty much my first thought, though in this case keep the six and swap in the appropriate manual.

That swap is well documented. I don’t know if there are any kits? Could make a nice sleeper if the trans repair doesn’t pan out. NP

The soon to be dead Volvo V60 employs lateral leaf springs to get the floor lower in its wagon form. The XC60 does not use them. I hope a Torch article on leaf springs will follow.

Nice Price. I know just how to fix that transmission — with an LS motor and 4L60E.

Nice Price.

The area was a sort of resort in the 1950s, with hotels and lakehouses and all the associated mid-century leisure stuff that entails.

Add this: Th!nk Ox.

Yes... that would be this:

I don’t think it’s quite that bad yet. You can get a very nice Midget/Sprite, Spitfire, or sometimes a B for less than $10K. But the available stock is very low so remaining examples are either very nice or very much in need of restoration work.

And, who wouldn’t want to regale onlookers with stories of engines that share oil with a gearbox?

I went NP after checking the market.  Apparently, the entrance fee to your local “British” car club is 10,000 dollars.  And, I know it’s an America.  When I was in the British Car Club they had everything in there that had anything remotely to do with the British Empire.  Volvos, Bricklins, etc.

Seeing’s how a classic Mini in half the condition can easily cost twice as much, this can only go one way.

If you were in the market for a quirky collectible you can be confident will be the only at a Cars and Coffee this would do it. Easy to work on and decent parts availability, too. It’s in decent enough shape and priced in that “sure, why not” range. So NP.

I felt that way about the extra door on the passenger’s side.

No third door. Not the same :(
