Not for me (I didn’t fit well in these when I was 50 lbs smaller than now), but this is in decent shape and would make a fun summer runner, and those seats... Mmmmm... NP

I voted NP, assuming it did okay in an inspection (the condition of the car seems good from the pics but a little vague from the description in the listing)
The ZEV credits have worked EXACTLY as intended. A company finds an effective way to address the market and it gives the other companies the option to either compete head on or defer a few years until they’re ready.
This is a throwback in more ways than one. Light trucks used to have massively long model cycles. The Ford F-Series remained on essentially the same platform for almost all of the 80s and 90s.
I’m going NP on this. It’s clean, fairly original, and honestly it’s marginally collectible. I kinda dig it, honestly.
...fortunately I couldn’t afford one...
Not just the US, either. I know Vancouver is also doing this and I think most other major Canadian cities are participating.
Bonus points: they just happened to use the Fox body with the BEST interior of the whole run.
I’ve never heard of this project before, but it’s compelling. No doubt this will attract attention wherever it goes.
Worse, its predecessor was one of Toyota’s most graceful designs. The first time I saw one of these I felt like Toyota had punched me in the face.
I’d TOTALLY do a Cadillac XLR over this.
This car has always had me feeling... ambivalent.
I always thought the bullet-nose ‘Bird was the best-looking after the original 2-seater, and the interior was especially zoomy and space-age.
It makes for a captive audience of above-average affluent customers.
If you’re traveling, your nav is not likely to let your SOC dip below 40% unless there’s a serious gap in available chargers.
Obviously pending a very thorough inspection, but NP.
These were good cars, Rubbermaid IP notwithstanding. This is legitimately collectible but I’d just prefer a Sky roadster, thanks.
You say that like it’s a bad thing
As an EV owner who has to park outdoors, I’ve been toying with the idea of using ice-melting mats under car to provide gentle heat to the battery in the coldest weather. Do we think it was just the localized hotspot that the toaster likely created? Any forensics on this yet?
I will totally give Musk props for this (because I’m pretty sure this was his idea). His sense of humor is not normally this sharp.
