This is really useful. Obviously anecdotal, but it’s a good range of vehicles and circumstances. I hadn’t realized how important it is to avoid fast charging, or how effective that avoidance is in maintaining battery capacity. Good to know.

Not only do I think this is a reasonable price (absent any gotchas in the inspection), I’d actually buy it.

OTOH, there’s no way on earth you’d find a ‘70 Cutlass convertible in comparable condition for the same price, either...

Some offroaders prefer automatics. Having to shift in the middle of a tough climb can be a bitch sometimes.

I can tell you that I’m probably pretty close to their target demo. I live in a remote area that can get snowed in deeply. There’s charging infrastructure in town but I’m several hundred miles away from a major center.

Oooooo... Touraeg... that’s one of my favorites... Sad they’re gone from this market...

Yeah, I’m gonna go with crossover, boring as that is. Make it comfortable, capable (possibly even off-roadable). PHEV, though by the time I buy my next car the tech and infrastructure may be at a point where I can do a full BEV.

It’s a nice truck! But!

As much as the words “ECU flash” and “resonator delete” raise minor red flags for me, yeah I’d give this a look. NP

Look at it this way: Ford isn’t going to ignore this study as they develop a new model with the same design brief.

Personally, I’d say this concept had a LOT of influence. The styling isn’t too far off from what the new one turned out to be, and the architecture is pretty damn close to the Bronco Sport.

Lol I, too, wondered what David Simon might do with this scene...

Nah. They’d have to prove that you had the means to actually track the device.

Not if the device isn’t clearly identified as police property

Tempting as that would be, I’d say the cops should be held accountable for doing this, and doing it badly.

Not perfect, but the defects are easy enough to address. I’ll totally buy that most of the miles were flat towing and that the engine and transmission are likely just fine. And I like the Igloo cooler look. NP.

Sorry, I think this is a WAY more interesting car than the Supra.

Toyota themselves have hinted at it

Tesla has tried to account for human error, but I don’t think it is their responsibility to plan for blatant abuse of their system.

This is the most significant Toyota performance news (at least in North America) in literally decades.
