I don’t mind the idea of stuffing a hot V8 in a tiny roadster. Worked for Carroll Shelby.

RE: Doc fees - The business office is a separate profit center within the dealership. The Sales Manager (who has to approve your deal, remember) has no pull with them.
Not even the X so much. Different class. It’s like asking if RAV4s cannibalize Sequoia sales.
Wow, this is way more lopsided than I’d expect.
Surely to God they’ll get Arnold Schwarzenegger to do the reveal...
When I vote, I ask myself how far down one might haggle. I’ll still go NP if it seems reasonably “haggleable”.
I will not rag on you for this review at all. In ‘97 I got a job selling Toyotas, and this generation Camry had just been introduced. I still remember going for my first familiarization drive and loving how solid it felt.
God help me I love stuff like this. I recall there was a Mini for the China market that had a similar treatment a few years ago. And of course, the Aston Martin Cygnet...
This doesn’t look bad. The only real red flag is that there’s such a heavy discount off what the owner likely paid for only 14,000 more miles.
It’s not... pretty, for sure
Kind of a heartbreaker, really. Looks pretty good, and I don’t object to the V8 swap in principle, but any “in-progress” project that “needs some work” is getting into automatic CP territory.
I wouldn’t say “impossible” to get repaired. The manufacturer is still a going concern, and the engine is standard GM.
If I had the money handy I’d actually be checking into this one, so I guess I kinda have to vote NP.
Agreed, though the desired endpoint would be that we’d run the farm equipment on biodiesel as well.
I’ve worked in car sales. If a prospect a) makes an appointment and b) actually shows up on time that’s an excellent indicator of strong interest.
I can tell you, having worked car sales, this won’t work. It shouldn’t have even worked before.
Even under the best circumstances, the Business Office is a different profit center than the sales floor. The Sales Manager (i.e. the guy who needs to sign off on the deal) doesn’t care.
Biofuels are good in any form. Instead of pulling carbon out of the ground for fuel, even corn is pulling it out of the air.
Why does it “only really make sense in Brazil”? To me this could make sense anywhere.
Some CUVs are higher than others. Something like a Mini Countryman, a BMW X1, or a Honda HR-V still has the higher H-point, but it’s more like a tall wagon than a small truck.
