This is one of the great Euro classics of the ‘80s, and the US-legal versions were rare.

I don’t think it’s a stretch AT ALL that Cadillac would land their own version of the mid-engine Vette. The product planners have wanted such a beast for decades.
Here’s a Canadian listing for a W12 with about 100k miles, and about half the price...
I actually love this car, and I’d love to have one. I seem to have a fetish for noble failures.
The Designo is crazy-expensive, and the diesels in general hold their value well. Mileage is a little high but not that scary if there’s a full maintenance record.
MARGINAL NP. Definitely some issues with it, though.
I don’t think there’s any denying that the greenhouse and the shape of the tail pretty much scream “Mustang”, though.
Yes, restore and re-release, maybe.
As someone who loves both Integras and Eldorados, this is a fucking abomination.
It’s a great car. One of my favorites, in fact. But no way on earth is it worth $19k. Sorry, CP.
I had a ‘71 Chrysler 300 hardtop (in immaculate condition when I owned it in the mid 80s), and it had this. Worked fine.
Not to mention that even if you’re traveling from Canada into a state where it’s legal (like BC to Washington), It’s still illegal to bring weed across the US border and the Border Patrol will bust your ass.
I’m in the Yukon, and just hit our local store over lunch (though there was a one-hour first day lineup). Since I had to come back to work I haven’t consumed just yet, tho...
There are “under-the-tongue” oils available. And there’s always vaporizers. Smoking isn’t the only option, thank God.
Just got back from the legal-pot store...
Any word on towing?
There may be some theoretical collectible value, sure, and it’s in great shape, and it looks... okay. I’m sure a case can be made for it actually being worth that asking price, but not from me.
I have honestly seen one out on the road at -30C.
There’s a lot of trepidation over battery life, though it’s turning out that Nissan was actually very conservative in its charge-cycle spec on the original Leaf. So technically the batteries on all those Leafs (“Leaves”?) are nearing the end of their rated life but in practice they haven’t lost near as much capacity…
I am a Buick lover, and a Toyota lover... This would be so TOTALLY awesome if it could actually be pulled off. Sadly, it’s not looking like it’s gonna happen...
