I hate sunroofs so this is a 100 percent win for me. I hate being forced to get sunroof to get other options i want.

I wonder who sells the most manually equipped cars in North America? I think it either has to be Subaru or Mazda.
Its more that they care about the audience and are trying to take some risks while being upscale and classy. Less about just the manual, more about what they are as a company. Lets face it, BMW has been on a mission to make fast, technological, sophisticated, machines that are now trying to replicate mechanical…
I don’t disagree completely, but I think the apt comparison would be Infiniti in the early 2000s. Before they stagnated, the G35 was the up and coming Japanese BMW. They even made performance “coupe” SUVs before they became all popular these days. The FX and EX were way ahead of their time.
I mean, take the title away from BMW if you want, but if you’re going to try and give it to Genesis because they sell one car with one manual variant on a turbo 4 engine, you really probably need to give the crown to Porsche instead.
Cloth and no sunroof are better anyway.
It’s probably for the people like me. To me, any manual is better than an auto. I know, call me crazy, but even in a VW DSG, I find my driving experience much more enjoyable in a manual. Plus, I’d probably just change bushings or other DIY fixes instead of compromising with an Auto. I’m special, I know.
Hey now! BMW makes great Trucks/SUVs/CUVs, you can even get them with M badging.
Don’t need sunroof. Also eats headroom inside, and probably does something to the structural integrity of the car (or, if other stuff in place to help for it, adds weight)
Hot Take:
Here’s a sobering figure for us PC gamers: a quick perusal of the Steam Hardware Survey report page will reveal that the architecture Microsoft has specified here outperforms approximately 98.9% of all PCs on Steam period.
Why not coat it in nacho cheese dust and call it the Oompa Lupa?
The gladiator is never going to be a BRO TRUCK, so its just too damned expensive.
You’ve obviously never used FCA’s flaming pile of crap that is their base model stereo. That alone will make you spend ANY amount to get to a higher trim level. I am not joking when I say that pairing a phone to the bluetooth on my Wife’s ‘13 JKU is a 10 step process that you can’t circumvent via buttons, you HAVE to…
In my experience, strippers usually make a profit.
I’m the target audience for this truck... and I’m probably buying a Tacoma instead (or a lightly used Pro-4X Frontier, because no reason to buy one of those new). I like jeep (and miss the 2016 Wrangler Sport I had to give up), have had several. I like mid-size trucks (had an 07 Frontier I bought new that I also…
I think oilchangesarecheap hits the nail on the head. There is a huge pent-up market of folks who want cheap, reliable basic cars and trucks. Not every person on the interwebz who proclaims they’d buy X only if it was brown, manual, etc. is lying.
Agree. The Frontier starts at $20k, the Ranger at $24k, and the Colorado at $21k.
Yeah selling affordable cars in high volume is always a stupid and losing business proposition That’s why you’ll never hear of cars like the Corolla, the golf, the VW bug, The Honda Civic
Ehhhhh... That’s exactly what it is, a bro truck. It’s bought by bros that are more interested in image and the jeep brand than a good truck for a good deal. Bros do exactly that. They spend too much on a truck because of how it looks. The people that actually want a good deal on a good, capable truck buy a different…
