Not so much worried about skipping as most of them had a decent amount of memory for skip protection built-in towards the end of their hayday. More concerned about the automotive environment in general. Very hot, very cold. Doesn't always make for longevity for any electronics not actually designed to live in a car.

Doh! Brain failure. Target and Wal-mart have decent sized sections while Best Buy seems to be whittling theirs down.

My local Best Buy has whittled down their cd section considerably, but Target and Best Buy still have pretty decently sized music sections. Wal-Mart seems to be in the middle size-wise.

Great suggestion!

My 16 yr old daughter just made HER first mp3 cd this past weekend on the laptop I bought her Christmas 2013, using the portable external cd burner I bought her a few weeks after the computer. I couldn't have been prouder. Mainly because her 1st car, a 2007 Focus plays mp3s off of cds, but requires substantial outlay

Especially if your iPods are larger capacities and since they killed off the ipod Classic. I guess you can buy used but with anything mechanical, that's a bit of a crapshoot. Apple would be happy to sell you a bunch of 64GB iPod Touches I'm sure.

Best Buy, Target and Wal-Mart all continue to sell cds as does Amazon as you mentioned.

The only problem is finding a quality "discman" that will last in a car environment for more than a year nowadays. Most portable cd players are garbage nowadays.

Thank you for mentioning the Xterra. The 4Runner is not your only choice.

Sorry to hear that, but it definitely makes me feel like it's a bit of a scam unfortunately.

I was really interested in trying the Snapshot device, but from the number of comments you've generated on a subject completely different from the one in the main article and from what I've read elsewhere on the internet, I think it's not the device for me. Perhaps we need an article about people that have used

I hope you 2 can find a way to move forward. My fiance and I had not had sex in over a year. Partly due to emotional issues she was having and partly because I didn't want to push the issue out of what I thought was respect. We finally had a good long talk about it and have been trying things, but the drouwhas left me

No, but there was the Saturn Ion Redline:

Yeah, they are nice designs but of the two, only one of them made it into production.
