To be fair, they might not've because (iirc) they've spoken with publishers before and want to avoid doing so again... so it's entirely possible they just skipped it.

Someone please tell me why there are so many people here who don't understand the difference between sex and gender? And further there are those who don't understand the differences between these and sexuality on top of it?

Uh, no? Asexuals can still identify as man, woman, or anything else. Sexuality != Gender != Sex... where are you getting these strange definitions?

I agree with you in that, at least. Exercise is a specifically pointless activity (that is, your body should be capable of handling whatever it routinely does, and exercise is wanting to be able to do more without having to do more, which is inefficiency by design -> more work without direct benefit).

I refuse to self-promote, I'm sorry, at least in that case. I hate ads, and the material should be viewed independently from the source, etc., so it's an ethos thing.

I use my idle time coding, and both my hands are always occupied. And minimal exertion is, in fact, part of the base study of efficiency, especially in terms of automation and the like...

Wrongheaded? I'd argue it's spot on: There's little to no reason for me to exercise, it's a complete waste of time and energy.

Yup, "Greatest application of any project or design" is right up there with "Good enough isn't" in terms of engineering mantra.

I did in HS for one of my portfolios, actually.

I didn't mean write a book on teaching, per se, but that as a scholar you'd probably be capable, at the least.

If you like teaching, have you considered writing a book of some kind, and using it for constant income, so you don't need to have a crappy desk job?

Funny, in a competitive realm most gamers have physical exercise as part of their daily routine and have a lower BMI than the average population.

Addiction is a chemical dependence, I'm not talking about the colloquial use. The first statement was more semantics, I'll readily admit, but it's largely a lack of introspection and game design that warrants such reaction (skinner boxes and whatnot).

If your job is boring and/or unrewarding... why are you still working there?

Best, and most rational, answer I've met with.

I always hated "Eat to please thyself and dress to please others"... the first part I get, but shouldn't the second part follow the same train of thought? Aren't these somewhat opposed?

I don't actually use please and thank you, and I'm not sure I know anyone who really does, except as a reflex. Same goes for bless you and other common social crap.

You can't be addicted to video games, anti-social behaviour is probably not what you think it is, and you might want to do research on links between things like ODD and high IQ.

Interesting... did anyone else actually click on the article and read the rest? I thought the "Rough Draft your Cake Icing" was a great idea, as well as a few others.

I work as a cybernetics engineer, and while we only have 4-5 clients a year, we usually tour the place from time to time, both for the extra cash (like for the extra AC we bought this year) and to get our work out there a bit. Helps get customers, because a lot of people don't understand our work and research.
