I can confirm that years ago I took someone’s profile pic and did a reverse image search on it, found their xanga page and facebook profile with all the information I needed about them. People now are better about facebook profiles being private, but in the earlier days it was soo easy to find people.

add to that: ghost detective & pheonix wright series. yeah it’s more puzzle games than visual novels, but they are just as heavy on character design and story, possibly a better starting point as they keep you a bit more engaged.

Alpha 3 is where it’s at though with it’s world tour mode which is more like an RPG mode, branching challenges with different limits and finish requirements, and basically equipment that modifies the characters in different ways.
