Yep, totally agree. I bought a ‘00 540i Automatic with a good service history at 69k miles for about $9000, and within the first two years, I shelled out almost $4000 in maintenance and service. I’m not extremely mechanically inclined, so it was a nightmare for me. Still loved the look of this damn car, though.
