While probably not the first delta wing design, the Convair XF-92 and its military successor, the F-102 Delta Dagger, were pioneers into the delta winged fighters, which paved the way for other high-performance cold-war interceptors, like the F-106, and the whole Dassault Mirage family of aircraft.

Totally Agree. It's a bit of a shame Haas has to use Ferrari power, but no real winners since there are no American power units.
Dan Gurney's Eagle Mk I was a successful Formula 1 racer, and we can all agree the car incredibly pretty. A successful and beautiful racer like this would make Americans a brand once again in the pinnacle of motorsport (are you listening, Gene Haas??)
