Dogs have been bred for centuries (millennia, even) to remain faithful to their masters, even when abused. Surely, you don’t expect them to throw off so many generations of such conditioning so easily?

My experience has been the opposite. The very few Trump supporters I deal with in the extended family and at work, have doubled down. “The Trumpster doth protest too much, methinks”.
