That scene was for family members only. Jack's just a friend.

When I tell people that I'm not as in love with GoT as others are, I sometimes get the "what, too squeamish, poor baby?" response. Fuck you, I watch Hannibal.
I have no goddamn idea what, if anything, came out of my mouth as I was watching this.
Because he saw what a shitty parent DeDe was and recognized he wasn't being a good parent either? I can see that.
I had the opposite reactions to the "main" plots. Jay just changes his mind for no reason. I don't remember anything in either episode that showed Jay realizing or articulating that he needed to change his attitude. I figured they would end up at Jay's club, so that development was completely expected and at the…
The issues inherent in the premise could have been overcome, but I just didn't like the characters enough. I only liked two of the people, hated three, and the rest were somewhere between "almost interesting" and "slightly annoying". The short run had something to do with it, since the show was hell bent on getting…
I was using the term "male gaze" to describe the default way movies/TV/etc. are shot. A man doesn't really want to see a naked guy's butt, so make the scene short, shoot it out of focus and give the viewer something else to look at. A man really wants to see a pretty woman naked, so fill that scene with her breasts…
Well, yes. When I said "What the camera really wants you to look at is Dany's reaction to Daario's nakedness", that's what I meant. The (male) gaze of the camera is on Dany, not lingering on Daario's naked body like Myles implies in his review and how Melisandre is shown in the next scene.
In Daario's case, the camera shows him just long enough to establish that he's naked. Daario's butt isn't the only thing in the shot - it shares the frame with Dany. Dany is in focus, the butt is not. What the camera really wants you to look at is Dany's reaction to Daario's nakedness.
It is hilarious that the reviewer equates the quarter-second of man ass with the lingering camera work on Melisandre's breasts and butt for two minutes in the next scene.
The three piece plaid suits seem overwhelming to me. I would prefer that kind of huge bold pattern without the vest. When Hannibal was in the straight jacket I thought "I like those pants a lot better by themselves".
Have you seen Dichen Lachman in anything since Dollhouse? I've seen two of her shows after it, she was in the Andre Braugher submarine show and a TNT detective show starring Rebecca Romaijn. I was unimpressed with both of those performances. Whedon might be good at writing to his actors' strengths; I also think…
Deliberately waiting to see the show and then expecting everyone else to pussyfoot around until you feel like watching seems like arrogance to me.
The newspapers were full of the "JR got shot on Dallas last night" spoilers the day after the episode aired, so if you hadn't seen the episode you probably would have been spoiled by them. Plus all the people talking about it at work the next day. It's not other people's fault if you don't watch when it airs.
Burning the body would mean that the forensic team couldn't get a DNA match to Freddie, so they had to identify her by the faked dental records. Also, I don't know if you caught this, but the wheelchair was pushed into Freddie's parking space at her work (the curb thingy had her name spray-painted on it).
OK, in the middle of all this weirdness and horror, that might be a bridge too far. Why on earth would they eat her teeth? Were they calcium deficient?
For goodness' sake, Kevin, stop obsessing about those stupid Fuchsbau coins. The show hasn't mentioned them in months, yet you insist on torturing yourself and the rest of us by bringing them up in every single review.
You can only manipulate the sadists you have, not the sadists you wish you had.
I was crying because of the look on Will's face while at the same time laughing hysterically at the audacity of that sentence. How? How can lines like that exist?
NBC only gets 1.7 good decisions a season. It has to cut corners somewhere.
