When you accuse someone of a crime, with no evidence but your own testimony, only the most naive person wouldn’t expect to be aggressively questioned. If an accusation can’t be validated, no conviction is/should be possible.

My consistent argument is that those who want a better story, or one that meets their expectations, are free to write one. The current trend of pillorying show runners and writers because their visions conflict with segments of their audience is simply ridiculous.
Well, when a state consistently elects backwards ass legislators, a state is horrible. Tough shit. Win some elections.
High schools and colleges educate rapists. Companies all over the world employ them. The army can't stop an individual's sexual/power impulses any more than a university or accounting firm. The army did however, give the guy 50 years.
I think you lack an understanding of where and how the army is allowed to operate.
I’m not that old...I have kids. But, I was taught early in my career that one should strive for clarity and try to use correct forms whenever possible. “Impact” shouldn’t be used as a verb, for example.
Would it have been funny if she sent a man down the aisle? How about a redhead? Or a blind person? It was a joke, and certainly not mean-spirited.
Phila and NYC share any number of colloquialisms. “...where you at?”, and, “youse”, are common to both areas. We don’t see that phrasing used in writing, because it’s not proper. I’m not particularly young, so when I hear or read, “on accident”, I cringe. No matter how much younger people want to resist correction,…
Eh, I’m not big on allowing the young to dictate grammar. “On accident” is a fairly new and very American usage, prevalent among young people. Prevalence, much like volume, doesn’t confer legitimacy. Proper usage is either the adverbial form or with the preposition, “by”. I'm planting a flag on this bullshit!
“By accident” or “accidentally”, not “on accident”.
This reads as if the author has a genuinely toxic group of friends who lack boundaries and celebrate the mundane. I’m empathetic to those who, like me, suffered abuse and depression. But, I’m not sympathetic to those who choose to daily reaffirm their status as victims by seeking validation from other people with…
As a strawberry blonde athlete, rest assured that strawberry blondes are no more typically “rapey assholes” than they are elephants. A guy is a rapist. Don’t stereotype...I’ve already had it up to here with the “ginger” insults. (It's a pejorative in most of the world, FYI)
If tobacco is so bad, then outlaw it altogether. Of course, is hat would kill revenue streams from sin taxes, which fund schools, etc.
Coring, hulling strawberries, paring (natch), making decorations with fruits or veg, small detail work, about a million things. Right tool/right job.

There’s a weird essentialism at work when “black enough” becomes a credible argument. We deride white people who complain that Irish people are cast to portray Jews or a Swede plays an Italian; to be conceit being that differences in features among white people are easily rectified by hairdressers and makeup. Here,…
That's actually pretty good advice.
If you want to satirize something, then it would awfully stupid to cast it according to a normative aspiration. Sort of self defeating, no?
Fetishes, particularly BDSM, have less to do with the patriarchy and a whole hell of a lot more with brain chemistry and endorphin response. To me, despite the psychiatric component of co-mingling pain and pleasure, the larger BDSM my this is a joke. When one fulfills the desires of another in exchange for money,…
Your comment was dumb as shit. Seriously. It’s ok to destroy the environment for your almond milk, but not for animal farming? Further, you’re cool with providing a market for a product that has virtually no benefits and is essentially just almond flavored water, which water is consumed by huge factory farms in a…
You screwed up the CA max workers’ comp TTD rate. It's $1128.43.
