Lifetime patron of barbershops. You know what barbers say, and what guys expect barbers to say? “Same thing, right pal? How short?”

If the person who greenlit those shoes is still employed, I’m gonna start giving the old 9-5 a little less effort.

Some of us are old enough to remember them as a couple of junkies utterly unqualified to have a kid. Everybody knew that dude was gonna die and many, like me, are surprised she hasn’t.

The immediate response should come from state regulators.

I dislike the attention paid to the Kardashians intensely. I’m particularly not fond of the mother.

But where’s your line? Are all well-insulated, wealthy people deserving of more attention than people with lesser resources? It’s already established that NFL players are below average in incidents of IPV. So, if you’re assuming that they do it more and just get away with it, you need some proof.

The central issue, though, is whether Geller can say whatever she wants. In this country, she can. We don't have to listen to her or be provoked by her; she only gets attention if we give it. The content of what she says simply doesn't matter.

The thing is, if you are in America, what Geller did just shouldn’t matter because a) she’s allowed and b) you aren’t allowed to threaten or harm her for doing so. America is diverse. We aren’t sensitive to everyone because we can’t be. We all agree to be offended and not to physically act upon the offender

You’re addressing two different issues. First, you’re asking peop,e who don’t believe in the concept of blasphemy to comport their behavior to avoid blaspheming. I don’t believe I can offend God or some long dead prophet, and I certainly have no inclination to conform to an arbitrary reading of a 1500 year old text.

What don’t I do next? Shall I refrain from pork? Cover my wife, daughters?

Anything on Demi-glacé? It’s a miracle ingredient.

The point is that not only do we not know, we’re not concerned with knowing. We’re not consistent...we don’t want people who might be able to make a lot of money ply their trades, but people lower on the socioeconomic ladder, who violate at much higher rates, aren’t subject to our scrutiny.

I agree with you on the “character” issue, though I may not word my qualified agreement well...

From the ages of 12-25 or so, I worked in various capacities in the restaurant/bar industry. I do not give a single fuck about how this comment is received:

The police are paid according to the terms of their collective bargaining agreement..

When you incorrectly describe filings, then seek clarification on process after you publish, how can you presume to be factual? If your conceit is that being correct about ESPN’s intentions confers universal accuracy, great. But, and you’ve actually written to this effect before, “...it’s not worth my time to seek out

Why didn’t you ask these questions before you published? If you don’t understand the law or legal process, isn’t it a reasonable step to make sure your article is accurate before you publish?

I spent a lot of time in Europe, especially when young. I’m Irish/American, so I trended toward that style.

Thanks for saying so. I’m old now, with teenaged daughters. They’re very pleased I don’t wear New Balance or pleated khakis.

Suppose a boy just lost his phone? Or someone borrowed his phone and distributed the photos without his knowledge?
