This article comes across so whiney. I feel like you missed the point: It’s not about going back and changing the faces of beloved characters. These were just examples of what’s possible. It’s a tool that could be used in the future (Especially by Bathesda) to create more lifelike faces.

I’m just here to laugh at Kotaku's ongoing hate boner at anything "ai". Some of the pics look fine, some pretty bad. Their writing on this topic is so over the top it's funny.

Man you guys really hate this channel.  Not everything AI generated is evil.  

They don’t have any AI tech. Half of it is literally open source stuff. They are just using other people’s tools.

1) The way this stuff is covered is really weird, acting as if those guys aren’t veteran VFX artists and animators etc. just having a play around with new tech like they’ve been doing for years and years.

So many are against CC and their AI stuff and say its off topic. It shows you never watched their videos then as they said AI is part of being a visual effects artists. It’s another tool for people in the field to use. Lets face it, the hate just comes from boomer type minded people who don’t like progress.…

From what I’ve heard, Roiland is a pain in the ass to work with. Flaky and a fair bit of a prick to boot. Seems to me like the accusations were just the excuse to finally be rid of him, not that he is “guilty until proven innocent”.
