This is such good news. The Vita is perfect for so many of these Indie Platformy titles. I've always loved the Vita hardware, but until now there just hasn't been enough beyond Persona 4 Golden to tempt me to get one. But now? This is awesome.

These games listed are in addition to the excellent Spelunky, Rayman Origins

October 29th is my birthday :D

To be fair, 3D Fighters aren't any more next gen either. It's a different sub-genre entirely, where the tactical priorities lie in different places than they do in 2D fighters.

Remember those reviews of Etrian Odyssey 1, 2 and 3? Reviewers were just laying out long lists of how badly they'd missed the point and appeal - then 4 comes around with some hype behind it, and a load of them had suddenly got the memo and raved about it as if the previous 3 games didn't exist.

Sometimes you want a

See, the reason I didn't go for that angle is because Jaeger operations didn't really ever seem to be squad-based or even highly tactical.
Rather, I was putting the focus onto the actual main struggle in the war - which is improving and iterating on the Jaeger models, and balancing making new, upgraded (expensive!)

In answer to her question: Those people are being original. The kinds of people who ask those questions are the kinds of people who haven't seen them asked and answered a thousand times before. Eventually they too will find it annoying when they see people asking questions they themselves once asked. But everyone has

I was thinking maybe a Kairosoft-ish game (Game Dev Story, Mega Mall Story, Grand Prix Story, etc) where you run a Shatterdome and pour money into building Jaegers, hiring Pilots, researching next generation Jaeger tech, studying Kaiju remains, and then a light Battle mode for deploying against Kaiju attacks (which if

I'm still heartbroken that we didn't ever get Kenzan, but if we get this, I'll forgive them.

Good news or BEST NEWS?

Stupei looks like even more of a doof, too. This is excellent.

As far as I remember, couldn't you queue for multiple modes at once? I think I used to check all the interesting modes and still not get one for half an hour or more.

There were some really fun and interesting multiplayer modes in GTA4, but finding a match was impossible because the few people that did play online only wanted free roaming or deathmatches. I suspect this may be the same.

Man, this film was awesome. Just so much fun. I hope it does well in Japan!

Like I said, a teaser image. It's not exactly very clear.

ERUBO ROKKETTO!!!!

I think 300 was enjoyable that way too. But then, they're just yelling and fighting, and when they're not they tend to be charming, funny, likeable, etc. Kratos was just a ball of angry and sad and furious. Was much harder to have fun when his dour grimdark nonsense was getting in the way.

I guess they want OTT to mean silly and fun rather than grimdark and angsty? The gameplay's enjoyable, but I never was taken with the at-times cringe-worthy narrative trappings. And I love Greek mythology! It was just so overdone, and clearly aimed at 15 year olds who think excessive violence is the coolest and

And Wakka + Kimahri from FFX.

But Thou Must!
...Ugh.

To be fair, I was never a level editor type guy, but the editor's really got its hooks into me - probably because it's more of a story teller than a level builder.

Either way, though, even if you never touch the level editor, it being there means the game can go from its 10-12 hour single campaign (with another Berlin

I don't hate you. It's not like there aren't far more beloved titles that I can't enjoy (Super Metroid says hi).

But I myself am loving SRR - I beat it within a couple of days, and am having shitloads of fun with the editor, despite never really messing with that type of thing before. Looking forward to seeing what
