So the unreleased DLC characters aren't going to happen now? This is tragic. This game got so little help from Sony the whole way through, it makes you wonder why they even bothered to let SuperBot make it if they were going to half-arse their commitment to it.

I suspect it's picking up now because there's been a second wave of media interest, this time focusing on that potential for it not to get made - USGamer.net ran a similar story at around the same time as this one, for instance. If it had just been left as it was, there was no guarantee whatsoever it'd hit its goal.

Problem is, it hasn't been getting $70k a day up until this point (even in the early rush) and that's after repeated media postings. So, I don't mind continuing media efforts by enthused journos if it means the thing actually gets made. Ignoring it and hoping it'll all just work out seems a risky venture at this point.

It's nowhere near guaranteed - for a KS with this much hype and press coverage, the going has been extremely slow. And now there's only a few days left!

12:20 - I've been known to call that "the gift of my presence" because puns are the best way to explain anything.

Haha, and then Neil Gaiman turns up. Pretty great skit!

I don't think he was related to any Lijiang bombings - he confessed to the Kunming bombings while in hospital (though a Turkish terrorist group took credit for those at the time, apparently).

Agreed on that one. FTL is the highest profile Kickstarter victory I can think of thus far, so it'll be good to have more positive examples to point to at last.

It was years ago now (Boxing Day 2008), but that doesn't make me any less glad, either!

The story was, the bus bomber who'd been terrorising the city off and on for a few months went to that cafe (Salvador's) early in the morning before another attempted bus bombing. He sat in the toilet while checking the bomb in his

Waiting a patch or two is probably sound planning. And on behalf of us johnny-come-lately non-backers who are nonetheless digging the game, thanks a bunch for making it happen!

Orks would revolutionise Sumo. Dwarves too.

Though more seriously, this is one of the slight disappointments with the setting - it's so Euromyth-centric. You do get a Chinese dragon messing around in the East, but the magical races are still very much Western and Northern European fantasy species. No Jiangshi or Tengu

I believe that's the only one they've talked about, let alone confirmed or announced. So, I suppose it'll be sales-dependent - both on the game itself and the upcoming DLC. I don't know whether we have a date yet for the DLC, so it might not be worth not picking up the game until the DLC is out if you're at all

I skimmed UK-based sourcebooks over the past week or so in light preparation for messing with the editor to make a home-set campaign. Otherwise I'd be just as clueless!

Not enough Orks

I think the Queen died in 2009 in the Shadowrun timeline, then a couple of Kings took over (Charles then 'George') before some kind of succession mess leading to the re-establishment of the position of Lord Protector.

Being the traditional war-mounts of faeries in Wales, Wales is where I'd expect to see that particular breed!

But I don't doubt for a second that some enterprising individual will use the Editor to great effect in creating a London campaign. It's a broad-appeal setting - same with Hong Kong and Tokyo.

I'm champing at the bit for this. Absolutely can't wait. I don't know which I'm more excited for, either - the main story or the level editor. Or heck, the Berlin-set DLC that'll come out at a later date. Cyberpunk Germany is a pretty damned original setting.

Don't expect much from the FPS to carry over - that game played fast and loose with the canon and wasn't particularly popular in the Shadowrun P&P RPG fanbase. Still, the premise is the same - magic returned to earth, some people became magical races, technology progressed anyway to cyberpunk levels while corporations

Jake Armitage is a supporting character in this one, but I don't think it's actually a sequel or anything - the SNES game is more just serving as Jake's backstory than anything else, from all reports!

That sucks. Hope the eight recover with minimal hassle.

I remember when my favourite cafe down in Kunming got bombed (by accident, and thankfully I wasn't there at the time!). Even though no-one besides the bomber himself was hurt, the place was shut for months by police before repairs even got underway. I didn't ever
