My only issue is that the British person would've pronounced duel as dyool, not dool!

I'm a huge fan of the direction they ended up taking with Dishonored. But a similar game set during the Great Fire of London? That would've been incredible in its own way, for sure.
Haha the guy sloping off his chair reminds me of myself doing the same thing in a Chinese Net bar. Some of these places are a lot plushier than the photos shown, of course. Unlimited tea + gigantic massage chairs for all!
Radiant Historia was the best in recent memory. Such an overlooked gem, it's one of the best JRPGs of the last decade
Gotta be Keith David. I love his live-action stuff just as much as his many excellent voice acting roles, though.
KH2.5 is likely, they've said. So, I guess, KH2+BBS and the cutscenes from Re:Coded?
It sounds better than it was - I'm not sure I made a huge difference to anyone's lives, but I tried to make it fun and useful for them. Certainly I myself learned immeasurable amounts. Beyond the school life I also made my first American friends and had a grand old time with the rest of the expat community (didn't…
Ah, well. Maybe I just missed the boat on that one (I know there's loads of games I adore from years ago that new players now would probably hate, after all). Still, there's no shortage of great Atlus games at the moment. I'm still years behind, too... working through Radiant Historia at the moment, which is excellent…
See, I've played a fair few SMT games now (though still a recent convert myself), and the Etrian Odyssey series (which is kinda related or at least similar). Strange Journey, Devil Survivor, Persona 3, etc. But... P1+2IS+2EP just scare me off. Even in their PSP incarnations they look clunky and awkward. I'm also not…
Of the Persona series (within the SMT metaseries), 1+2 are for hardcore 1st person dungeon crawling fans (with JRPG battles and arcane mechanics). 3+4 are the ones that got the popular buzz going, so either of those is worth it. P4 Golden would be a good starting point as any.
That was way back in my gap year, was living+teaching in a boarding school for minorities from around the province (over 20 of China's 50+ ethnic minorities are unique to Yunnan Province). Had immense amounts of fun and did a similar amount of growing up, as is the norm for such things. A year or so after coming back…
Yeah, I lived in Yunnan for almost a year, so I have no shortage of fondness for the region. Lots of turtles and terrapins about in the various rural temples and such, but didn't see any Box Turtles for obvious reasons. Seeing as Yunnan functions as China's PR Poster Boy to show off for the benefit of foreign news…
"Your mum" by itself was an insult in English last I checked. It's similar.
The Yunnan box turtle is endangered? I thought they were extinct! You have already done more than PETA to educate me on animals in danger
I play football in the park for shits and giggles. I can't say I then accuse professional players of taking shit way too seriously, or stopping playing for fun and only playing to win and earn money. It's like... even if so, who cares? Those are legitimate reasons to play a competitive game.
The "face to face" thing that you failed to understand was the reason your "two people in direct confrontation" was a fair comparison, not a claim that riots are normally so.
Your example is flawed because those ARE two linked and comparable events. That is literally a face to face reaction. These two are isolated incidents sparked by the same topic - in the same way newspaper articles were sparked by it, or conversations at the dinner table. Yet I don't see you comparing the Japanese…
"Just because it's not as organized as the Japanese marches doesn't mean the people don't know what they're doing." They have the illusion of a lack of responsibility or consequences - as with the London riots. They're furious and are trying to act out against that which is angering them, in an awful way. Compare that…
It's meaningless because although the two are related to the same topic, they're not the same kind of thing at all. It's like singling out a newspaper article about the dispute and saying "Oh, the Chinese rioted, but the Japanese wrote this great newspaper article! That just shows you the difference between the two…
Meaningless? It's the ATTEMPT TO COMPARE A RIOT AND A SMALL, UNDER-ORDERS MARCH that is meaningless. The attempt at comparison. Not peaceful protest. How are you, every single time, trying to make this about me hating peaceful protests? Despite me stating countless times that this is not my problem with this story?
