This design is SO CLOSE to being something pretty good looking. Quite literally just make upper kidney grills, an uninterrupted bumper bar solid painted section below. Japan basically doesnt have the 5mph bumper core that the US and Australia require. The support structure isnt designed to do much of anything in crashes at higher speeds, rather its to minimize costs for insurance companies in very low speed fender benders.
