neon person here. The first generation ones were amazing because they were so light and nimble, built like legos, and (when equipped with the DOHC engine) the most powerful car in their class. They were incredibly well engineered (early fiber based head gasket woes aside) and built to be inexpensive. There is a

If this were truly stock and clean...nice price. The aftermarket wheels, lack of airbox, exhaust, rough interior all tell me this is a $4,000 car at best.

Arent these cars still going for well over $300,000? If so how is this totaled?

If you can make it look nicer while still being simple and costing the same, go for it. But Taking an old 2 piece plain plastic dash and replacing it with a 4 piece leather wrapped unit that increases the cost of the car...shouldnt be in an economy car.

You wanted nicer interiors and such. Go buy the next model up the line.

Everything you just described is a Legacy.

As you stated the new car is a “nicer” car. My question is though, WHY? Why does every car have to get nicer? Why cant companies just continue to offer a car for what it is? Why do they keep trying to have a car grow with the audience it is currently hot with? All that does is necessitate a NEW base model to come in

The IS300 WILL hit its limited top speed of 144MPH but even if not limited it wouldnt have much past that as it would be at the rev limiter by about 150. 5th gear is pathetically short.

Uh I dont know where youre getting that figure from. A stripped out 4 cyl is about 300lbs lighter than a fully loaded V8. The Coyote is an all aluminum engine that only weighs 444lbs its self. So by your logic the 4cyl weighs negative weight.

Didnt they have a V6 that fit into this slot?
