I dont trust some girls I know to go 35mph, I would however trust, say, a LeMans winning driver to go 100 in a 55, especially a limited access road like a freeway.
This is exactly how my mom feels about her ‘14 Jetta Sportwagen
You would be unpleasantly surprised to know how many techs I’ve met who dont know or care anything about cars. They got into it because they heard they could go to school for 9 months to a year and a half and make good money. They turn a wrench because they have to, not because they want to. No interest in cars as a…
To be fair, he was doing a reasonably good job keeping up with the legends of Petter Solberg and and Sebastien Loeb.
When you can afford an SLR any “not car friendly” city is accessible to you. When you have to pay more than the vehicles worth in road tax every year on a $10,000 car, it likely isnt.
I think youre missing how a two stoke works just a bit. There is always a massive “valve” overlap that occurs due to the intake and exhaust ports being in the sleeve. This exhausting and intake sucking has to do with the position of the ports on the sleeve. So unless the second that ignition occurs, before the piston…
All AE85/86 Corollas were rear wheel drive. The SR-5 was the “sport” trim...I dont even know that they had a “sport” model
She typically gets 46-51mpg cruising on the highway commute she has at 55-65, it does about 43-44mpg when cruising at 70-75. The Prius is great around town but ultimately not great for what she does, PLUS she absolutely hates the look of them.

She puts about 30,000miles on a year. A buyback is a non-option for her. She needs the fuel economy as well as the space that the Sportwagen delivers.

What exactly is Volkswagens “Fix” again BTW? I dont recall reading an article that you guys actually outlined their actual repair. Is it just a software flash? A urea injection system? What?
This person may likely get all insurance claims from this denied due to the Arizona Stupid Motorists Law which relates to situations exactly like this, driving through flood washes.
Officers are still responsible for yielding to oncoming traffic, something this officer didnt do as he assumed all coming traffic was going to stop.
My money goes on intake backfire.
Hubris and brain washing from the “war on drugs”
The problem is youre trying to judge it on something very subjective and polarizing. While you might give the stanced car points for its looks, I would detract them. A car that looks stout and chunky prepped for an autocross day looks much better to me than a slammed car with its wheels sticking out past its fenders.…
I imagine to do it properly it it would cost upwards of $100k. Building two cars, refurbishing one, and hiring a crew plus equipment to do the tests...
If I win the lottery the very first thing I’m going to do after settling into a house and such will be to gather the guys from MotoIQ and Jalopnik together and find 3 identical stock cars and have two of them crowdsource built by their fans, one for autocross, one for stance, one just in the peak condition a stock car…
