How long befor a reflash and exhaust for $2500 pts you over “Turbo” trim power levels?

I own an IS300...not a coupe...not a Landcruiser.....not a chore...
The reason they gave them those names was to get them to focus on the brand, bottom line. Why do you think Cadillac moved away from real names?
Yeah....but it isnt a V12...
If only you could just pull that sweet sweet driveline and stuff if into a Z3 or M3
Exactly this. With used top of the line luxury cars the mantra always is to get the best one you can possibly afford. In other words, if you know this one needs several thousand in repairs already, find another one that costs that much and buy it.
Its okay Carlton, we understand.
Everyone speculated, I chose the wrong side of the fence. Oh well. I was at least able to argue my side and not choosing a completely delusional undefendable side. No regrets.
I was expecting it to be much higher pitched. I’m betting that even though its a 2.0l it still probably has a fairly low redline.
The problem with the CRZ has never been its styling, its a decent enough looking car for what it is. The problem has always been the lack of non-hybrid engine options. One for lower cost entry level and a K20 for performance. Those are the two things the car needed from day one to be a true successor to the CRX
I’ve had mine for 9 years. I’m actually a moderator, by the same name, on My.IS
Um, I’ve owned 3 neons in my time, I was happy with all 3. Regret getting rid of the last 2.
I just think a modern ecu and turbo would really wake it up with out going crazy. More torque and strong pull to redline.
I think the proper solution to one of these is modern engine management and a modern turbo. Those two parts of the car have come a LONG way and would fix the short comings a hell of a lot cheaper and easier than an LS swap (what trans to use? Accessories? etc etc etc)
Well the car is on a straight and narrow section of road with curbing on both sides. Thats a hell of a spin out going straight. Seems more likely to me it was unloaded then moved to a spot the driver wasnt aware of and backed into it.
That honestly looks like it could be a 5 mph backup where in the driver doesnt “feel” the 2100lb car and keeps trying to back up. A school bus did a number on my parents ‘88 Dakota back in the day for the very same reason.
It sold pretty damn well for 10 years. Thats the only argument that has ever mattered. People that arent us, regular “non-car” people, loved them. Deal with it.
I also made this argument in the QOTD thread. Just like the first generation neon, its actually a good car. Lots of people like to hate on them because its the cool thing to do, but in 30 years, I guarantee you those things will be considered a truly classic car due to huge overall numbers sold.
That is a very unusual happening...
EDIT: upon further evaluation, it almost looks like the truck backed into the car. I see no skid marks leading up to the car and the general direction the car is facing makes this an incredibly unbelievable crash.
